WHAT'S YOUR SIGN?

What were you born under? Lucky star, bad sign or with a silver spoon in your mouth? I always liked astrology, ever since I found out that pharaohs were using it on a day to day basis. Who doesn't want to be like pharaohs?
But. Ever since I worked at various magazines and had to write horoscopes for them, I stopped believing in any of it. I just know that a lot of the horoscopes that seem legitimate are just plain product of somebody's imagination. How are we going to check it? It's not like we "regular" people know anything about astrology, and we can't confront what happened with the prophecy - it's usually written or told on a high level of abstraction, a lot of times it could just be a metaphor. We can't scientifically confront astrological prognosis with reality. We should have never believed it in a first place.
So I don't read horoscopes to see if I'm going to get a dream job or meet someone special (I already did, thank you very much) but I do like to know what signs are represented in people's charts. I like to know whom I'm dealing with before I deal with them or get closer. Again: I treat it as a guide, not the ultimate truth. I have to admit though - I never met a Scorpio I would trust or a Virgo that would not drive me nuts from time to time. But that's just me.
I often think not only people are born under certain signs, but places, too.
That's why I think my lost city Warsaw is a Leo and New York - Gemini.
Leo as in: proud, little lazy, very royal and needing applause a lot.
Gemini? Just listen: intelligent, creative, inventive and very communicative. Gemini's ruling planet is Mercury - planet of possibilities ("if you can make it here, you can make in anywhere"). That's what makes New York very well-informed about everything (look how many major newspapers we have) and curious about the world. Also, very welcoming to strangers (melting pot). No matter how old Geminis are, they are always young at heart - just like New York, always pulsating with life and attracting young and creative from all over the world. Not to mention that New York minute is shorter than any other minute anywhere in the world, which means it passes faster, meanwhile we don't even notice it, cause it passes us by. People in New York look younger and behave younger. I "blame" the new York minute.
Geminis, New York being one of them like change more than anything else in the world. That's why buidlings rise and fall every day. You can literally walk on one street, then go back there a month later and not recognize the surroundings. The only thing constant in New York is change.
I am a Libra. No wonder I love New York.
